As a recruiter, working at Schneider Electric gives me a sense of pride not only because it is a global leader in energy management and automation but also because of its strong belief that education can transform lives. You can see Schneider\u2019s commitment to improve learning and employment opportunities through our programs. Schneider does not just do the talk. We walk the talk. I present to you, the proof points through the empowerment of Filipino youth:<\/p>\n

#1 Community Day \u2013 Brigada Eskwela<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Schneider is driven to transform its employees into community advocates. Hence, the 15,000 volunteering days \u2013 a worldwide campaign with a target to accomplish in the next 6 years. In my country, the Philippines, we took part in Brigada Eskwela 2019, the Department of Education\u2019s national school maintenance program.<\/p>\n

Last June 1, 2019, over 150 employees from Taguig, Cavite, and Ortigas went to Signal Village National High School and Emiliano Tria Tirona High School and repainted the campus facilities just in time for the start of the school year. Some employees even brought their families and friends with them to help out \u2013 volunteering and having quality time? Why not?<\/p>\n

I am excited and looking forward to the next community day!<\/p>\n

#2 Spark Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As Philippines\u2019 employer branding specialist, I get the opportunity to work with universities and Filipino youth to tap into the best young talents. The Spark Program provides a holistic education-to-employment opportunity to the youth. Aside from getting scholarship grants for their last 2 years in university, they are also given mentorship by our subject matter experts (SME) and plant leaders and become part of our automation project teams.<\/p>\n

Graduates of the scholarship program will automatically be given a job offer at Schneider Electric. They will enter the company as part of the Energy Generation Program wherein they will use their knowledge and skills in developing technologies that will help us provide innovation at every level and ensuring that Life is On for everyone, every where.<\/p>\n

\"Spark <\/p>\n

#3 Go Green in the City<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Go Green in the City<\/a> is our company\u2019s annual global business case challenge for students. The competition aims to involve Filipino students in contributing to the search for solutions to the global energy challenge while getting mentorship from the industry\u2019s experts.<\/p>\n

Year after year, I get to see amazing and creative submissions from students all over the country. Their bold ideas are something that could reshape the future and make it more sustainable. I see these students improve from the first time they have submitted their case studies up to the last stages of the competition.<\/p>\n

Winners of the global competition<\/a> will automatically get an all-inclusive trip to any two cities of their choice where we have offices. It can\u2019t get more exciting than that!<\/p>\n

With these three proof points through the lens of empowering Filipino youth, I personally believe Schneider Electric is a great place to work if you want to have a meaningful and empowered career. I will end this by sharing a quote from our country president, Alex Vermot:<\/p>\n
