{"id":21069,"date":"2023-01-24T16:10:20","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T00:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palada.net\/index.php\/2023\/01\/24\/news-14802\/"},"modified":"2023-01-24T16:10:20","modified_gmt":"2023-01-25T00:10:20","slug":"news-14802","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.palada.net\/index.php\/2023\/01\/24\/news-14802\/","title":{"rendered":"Key takeaways from Malwarebytes 2023 State of Mobile Cybersecurity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The results of our latest survey on mobile cybersecurity in K-12 and hospitals are in&mdash;and it&rsquo;s not all peaches and roses.<\/p>\n<p>When we talk about endpoint protection, it&rsquo;s only natural to only think about the <a href=\"https:\/\/cybriant.com\/endpoint-security-solutions\/#:~:text=Employer%2Downed%20desktops%20and%20laptops%20are%20the%20most%20often%20compromised%20endpoints\" target=\"_blank\">most commonly compromised endpoints<\/a> like work laptops and servers&mdash;but your smartphone isn&rsquo;t off the hook.<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of risks associated with mobile devices, and we ignore them at our peril.<a href=\"https:\/\/solutionsreview.com\/endpoint-security\/check-point-mobile-security-report-2021-97-percent-experienced-mobile-malware-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\"> In 2020 alone<\/a>, almost 50% of organizations had at least one employee download a malicious mobile application that threatened their organization&rsquo;s network and data.<\/p>\n<p>Certain industries such as education and healthcare face their own distinct set of challenges when it comes to mobile security, namely a diverse amount of endpoints and lackluster budgets and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>To better understand the mobile security landscape, we asked 250 schools and hospitals about their mobile security posture&nbsp;(including Chromebooks).
