Our virtual event brought together more than 20,000 security professionals eager to learn security best practices and hear major product announcements\u2014including the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.microsoft.com\/blog\/2023\/03\/28\/introducing-microsoft-security-copilot-empowering-defenders-at-the-speed-of-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">introduction of Microsoft Security Copilot<\/a>, the first security product that enables defenders to move at the speed and scale of AI. Our event included other exciting product announcements across compliance, identity, and more. If you weren\u2019t able to attend, you still can see those announcements for yourself by <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.microsoft.com\/en-US\/home?wt.mc_ID=MSSecure2023_esc_corp_bl_oo_March16_MSSecurePRE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>watching sessions on-demand<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The response from attendees, who joined from around the globe, was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees, with unique perspectives and diverse experiences, joined keynotes and breakout sessions and asked interesting questions during the Ask the Experts sessions.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re thrilled by that reaction. Let\u2019s take a look at a few of the top announcements and insights from Microsoft Secure that got people talking.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Microsoft Security Copilot takes off<\/h2>\n<p>The sophistication of cyberattackers and the global shortage of skilled security professionals\u2014an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isc2.org\/-\/media\/2A313135414E400FA0DBD364FD74961F.ashx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">estimated 3.4 million openings<\/a>\u2014makes it a challenge to respond to threats. Security Copilot combines Microsoft\u2019s leading security technologies with the latest advancements in AI to help your defenders to move at the speed and scale of AI. Security Copilot combines the most advanced GPT-4 model from OpenAI with a Microsoft-developed, security-specific model, powered by Microsoft Security\u2019s unique expertise, global threat intelligence, and comprehensive security products,\u201d said Charlie Bell, Executive Vice President, Microsoft Security.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees were excited to hear the news, with one calling the keynote \u201cmind-blowing\u201d and another sharing, \u201cWay to go Microsoft! A wonderful overview of an AI application developed for comprehensive guarding security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Watch <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.microsoft.com\/en-US\/sessions\/ca2617fe-4b0e-4c34-a57d-8679523de093?source=sessions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cThe future of comprehensive security\u201d keynote<\/a> for a demonstration of a Security Copilot investigation.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Major announcements drew rave reviews at these breakout sessions<\/h2>\n<p>Our keynotes continued after the AI announcement summarizing product news. Then, in breakouts, attendees got up-close and personal looks at what our new features empower them to do. Here are highlights from breakout sessions highly rated by attendees and available to watch now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.microsoft.com\/en-US\/sessions\/376a6eaf-20c1-4bc3-a9bb-f4b5a072a1f0?source=sessions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">How identity security protects the bottom line\u201d<\/a>: During this session, Jarred Boone, Microsoft Product Marketing Manager, Identity Security; Inbar Cizer Kobrinsky, Microsoft Senior Product Manager; and Alex Weinert, Microsoft Vice President, Identity Security, offered insights on the most common identity attacks, and how Microsoft Entra can protect against them.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.microsoft.com\/en-US\/sessions\/b36d5f8d-62f1-440b-9dbe-7b0eea13cdce?source=sessions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cCyber-safety and IT efficiency fueled by Microsoft Intune Suite\u201d<\/a>: Ramya Chitrakar, Microsoft Vice President of Engineering for Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, and Windows Commercial; and Steve Dispensa, Microsoft Vice President of Product for Microsoft Endpoint Manager, introduced the Microsoft Intune Suite, which unifies mission-critical advanced endpoint management and security solutions into one simple bundle. \u201cLove the new capabilities,\u201d wrote an attendee.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.microsoft.com\/en-US\/sessions\/c0a17ab4-2ecd-4ce0-b92b-b8c89d094da2?source=sessions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cHow XDR defends against ransomware across the entire kill chain\u201d<\/a>: Corina Feuerstein, Microsoft Principal Program Manager; Alex Klausner, Microsoft Senior Manager, Product Marketing; and Scott Woodgate, Microsoft Senior Director, Microsoft Security Business, discussed how Microsoft\u2019s extended detection and response (XDR) solution brings together the power of our global threat intelligence, integrated platform security, and AI and automation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attendees interacted with Learn Live\u2014and loved it &nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p>A whopping 97 percent of attendees surveyed considered Learn Live valuable. Learn Live is a series of live interactive learning experiences in which experts guide participants through modules on specific security solutions and answer their questions.
