Then came stories about questionable stock sales by execs <em>before<\/em> the breach became public. Then&#8230;anger and confusion from some of the 143 million people affected.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, this week, came the retirement of the company&#8217;s CEO.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s enough to (almost) make our panel of tech experts \u2013 <em>Network World<\/em>&#8216;s Brandon Butler, <em>CSO<\/em>&#8216;s Fahmida Rashid, <em>Macworld<\/em>&#8216;s Michael Simon and <em>Computerworld<\/em> Executive Editor Ken Mingis \u2013 throw up their collective arms as everyone tries to figure out how to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csoonline.com\/article\/3222882\/data-breach\/what-business-can-learn-from-the-equifax-data-breach.html\" target=\"_blank\">stop it from happening again<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That collective primal scream morphed into a discussion of whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/3227826\/mobile-wireless\/the-latest-iphones-show-why-ai-is-the-new-electricity.html\">artificial intelligence will one day be as ubiquitous as electricity<\/a>\u00a0(ubiquitous \u2013 yes; the new electricity \u2013 no).<\/p>\n<p>And our panel wrapped up with a look at Simon&#8217;s new Apple Watch Series 3 \u2013 which has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macworld.com\/article\/3227166\/consumer-electronics\/apple-watch-series-3-reviews-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly.html\" target=\"_blank\">dinged for problems with its signature feature: cellular access<\/a>, sans iPhone.
