There are epic lightsaber battles, good versus evil, and futuristic military machines. There&#8217;s also angsty and obnoxious villains, creepy family relationships, and living plush toys. What is this thing? What&#8217;s a porg? Small inquisitive not-penguins that roost on the rocks of Luke Skywalker&#8217;s island retreat. This is fine. They kind of look like Ewoks. Ewoks are cool. But <i> The Last Jedi<\/i> is the middle film of a <i>Star Wars<\/i> trilogy from the guy who directed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=C-YevZUQ9cU\" target=\"_blank\">high school noir classic <i> Brick<\/i><\/a>. It&#8217;s gonna be dark. Maybe the porgs are just there for the kids to focus on while Snoke is torturing Rey. Yeah. This is fine. These things are so cute they&#8217;re <i> hard<\/i> to hate. The big eyes. The round belly.
