Earth Rangers\"\u2122\", a Canadian non-profit organization, promotes the importance of protecting biodiversity and the adoption of more sustainable behavior through community events, online education and a positive science. Earth Rangers has successfully applied their efforts to their 60,000 square foot Toronto facility, making it one of the most energy efficient buildings<\/a>\u00a0on the planet.<\/p>\n

In search of a results-oriented partnership<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Earth Rangers was looking for partners who could donate equipment and expertise, and in 2009,<\/p>\n

Schneider Electric came onboard as their building automation, metering, security, and lighting controls supplier. The installation began with Schneider\u2019s building automation hardware and software, power monitoring<\/a> and energy management tools including Juno lighting, Pelco cameras, and PowerLink\/Clipsal lighting controls.<\/p>\n

Significant savings and benefits were realized, but true to the organization\u2019s values, Earth Rangers wanted to do even more. After earning a Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for New Construction certification, Earth Rangers decided to further demonstrate their commitment to reducing energy use<\/a> and CO2 emissions by pursuing a Platinum LEED for Existing Buildings certification \u2013 the highest level of certification offered under LEED.<\/p>\n
