He re-organized the paper into 2 sections, Know, Think and Do.<\/p>\n<p>The point is, digitization, as wildly popular of a topic as it may be, is still greatly misunderstood and there is a need to go through this natural progression for change of \u201cKnow, Think, &amp; Do\u201d in order to effect a change toward digitization in your organization.<\/p>\n<p>So here are the sources of information I like for each one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KNOW: What is happening (mainly technology and product focussed)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trade press like <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.schneider-electric.com\/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYXV0b21hdGlvbi5jb20v&#038;feed-stats-url-post-id=41111\">com <\/a><\/li>\n<li>Industry analysts like <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.schneider-electric.com\/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYXJjd2ViLmNvbS90ZWNobm9sb2dpZXMvaW5kdXN0cmlhbC1pbnRlcm5ldC1vZi10aGluZ3M%3D&#038;feed-stats-url-post-id=41111\">ARC<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Digitization focussed Industry groups like <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.schneider-electric.com\/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5tZXNhLm9yZy9lbi9pbmRleC5hc3A%3D&#038;feed-stats-url-post-id=41111\">MESA<\/a> (not mining, but lots of info on other industries)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These will allow you to get the feeling of what is happening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THINK: Grapple with the ideas and functions from a professional standpoint<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional bodies like the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.schneider-electric.com\/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5pY2hlbWUub3JnL2NvbW11bml0aWVzL3NwZWNpYWwtaW50ZXJlc3QtZ3JvdXBzL21pbmluZy1hbmQtbWluZXJhbHMuYXNweA%3D%3D&#038;feed-stats-url-post-id=41111\">IChemE Mining &amp; Minerals Special Interest Group<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Industry working groups like the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.schneider-electric.com\/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5nbG9iYWxtaW5pbmdzdGFuZGFyZHMub3JnLw%3D%3D&#038;feed-stats-url-post-id=41111\">Global Mining Standards and Guidelines<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s sometimes a bit of \u201cparalysis by analysis\u201d in these types of groups, but you really get to think through the real-world challenges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DO: How to actually move ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vendor user groups like the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.schneider-electric.com\/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cHM6Ly9zb2Z0d2FyZS1zb2x1dGlvbnMuc2NobmVpZGVyLWVsZWN0cmljLmNvbS9pbm5vdmF0aW9uLXN1bW1pdA%3D%3D&#038;feed-stats-url-post-id=41111\">Schneider Electric Software Innovation Summit<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These events provide lots of successful case studies, and you can normally talk frankly to people at these types of events about what worked, what didn\u2019t, and what were the success factors.<\/p>\n<p>Hope that helps!
