We’re here at HPE Discover 2018, proudly sponsoring the event and enjoying a jam-packed few days in Las Vegas.

The data center industry has experienced tremendous disruption in the last decade. The fourth Industrial Revolution, with its IT/OT convergence, the proliferation of IoT, and insatiable demand for digital connectivity, is creating the opportunity to push the envelope of performance beyond the obvious and create new business value. And there’s no bigger opportunity right now than at the edge.

At the same time, these new paradigms are also driving more complexity: companies today are trying to manage a combination of environments, from large centralized data centers on-premises or in the cloud, regional edge data centers, to local edge data centers. We have more data centers, intertwined across more locations, and with more data, than ever before. All of this adds up to promising opportunities on the horizon for our customers – but an equally daunting number of new challenges to confront, as well.

Overcoming Data Computing Complexities by Delivering Innovative Solutions

two men looking at interactive screenAt Schneider Electric, we’re working to help customers overcome these challenges with EcoStruxure™ IT, a cloud-based architecture purpose-built for hybrid IT and data center environments, which is designed to deliver enhanced value around safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity for modern, distributed data center environments. With EcoStruxure IT, Schneider Electric customers can count on significant improvements to their existing data center environments and operations with proactive insights on critical assets that impact the health and availability of an IT environment, and the ability to deliver actionable real-time recommendations to optimize infrastructure performance and mitigate risk.

We’re also strengthening our collaborative partnership with HPE to connect OT to IT edge solutions that increase availability at each node while improving efficiency and performance in our joint customers’ increasingly complex environments. At HPE Discover 2018, we’ll demo the prototype of our latest collaborative initiative, a 6U micro datacenter solution that integrates our EcoStruxure IT platform and is engineered for industrial and retail applications.

At the Show and Beyond

This week we’re digging into all of this and more as we explore the role edge is playing in the larger data center landscape and highlighting some real-world use cases for optimizing infrastructure performance and mitigating risk across hybrid IT environments. Want to learn more?

Here’s where Schneider is at HPE Discover 2018:

  • Innovation at Every Level: Data Centers in the Cloud and at the EdgeJean-Luc Meyer, SVP, Strategy, Schneider Electric IT Division, discusses how to use the IoT to deliver innovation at every level, from connected products to edge control to applications and analytics. Session Tuesday, June 19, 2018, 10:00 AM PT at Discover Theater 3.
  • Agony and Ecstasy of Living on the IoT Edge: Building SMART Physical Infrastructure for Compute: Carsten Baumann, Director Strategy, IIoT & Microgrids, Schneider Electric, and Tripp Partain, CTO, HPE, explores how the Micro Data Center portfolio simplifies edge deployments and demonstrates the value of multi-vendor system reference architectures. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 5:00 PM PT at the Industry Forum Theater.
  • Booth 122: Product experts and solutions architects are onsite to facilitate virtual reality walk-throughs of its prefabricated data center module portfolio. Booth visitors also demo Schneider Electric’s industry-leading portfolio of infrastructure solutions, including its EcoStruxure IT integration with HPE OneView software and Schneider Electric’s InfraStruxure™ Express and Micro Datacenter capabilities.
  • HPE Edge & IoT Pavilion: Schneider Electric and HPE publicly demonstrating the prototype of its enhanced Micro Datacenter solution, now featuring a 6U design customized for industrial and retail applications.
